New speed rules introduced in New Taipei have proven successful in reducing the number of road accidents and cutting down on traffic violations.
As reported by the Taipei Times, New Taipei imposed a space mean speed of 50 km/h in the Wanli Tunnel last July, it has cut traffic violations by 94% and brought down the number of road accidents by 86%.
